Re: Reference for Andrew Dean (Warrandyte Extensions)
Andrew Dean and his son Nick Dean carried out renovations on our house during 2007/2008 including:
- building a laundry (cabinetry, plumbing, plastering walls, installing toilet) in a previous workshop under our house
- turning our old laundry and bedroom into two bedrooms (removal and installation of walls, removal of old plumbing, plastering , installation of windows and cupboards)
- plastering our pine ceiling
- removing slate tiles (including asbestos sheeting)
- laying concrete sheeting in bathrooms and kitchen in preparation for tiling
- installation of various doors, windows and cupboards
- new lighting
- new toilets
- installation of skirting boards in living room post laying of hardwood floors
- various ad hoc maintenance tasks
At all times Andrew acted in a professional manner and provided great suggestions as to how to bring our ideas to life. He kept us informed of progress through the job including timely advice of any additional costs (eg the discovery of asbestos). We totally trusted Andrew and Nick with our house keys and in return they treated our house with respect.
The standard of work conducted by Andrew and Nick was excellent in all instances and we are delighted with the outcome. We were also impressed with the subcontractors used by Andrew for things such as removal of the asbestos, plastering, plumbing and electrical work. Andrew also recommended an excellent painter and an amazing hardwood floor installer to us which saved us a lot of time and potential pain!
We would thoroughly recommend Andrew and Nick to anyone wishing to renovate/extend their home. We would definitely use Andrew, Nick and their subcontractors on future projects.
