Preliminary Estimate

We all want to know how much our ideas may cost, but without plans it is impossible to give an estimate.

We can give you ball-park figures based on what you can tell us you want but this can lead to big discrepancies when the final ideas have been put down on paper and all the possible council requirements are known. Once Warrandyte Extensions have a set of preliminary drawings we can start the costing, until the drawings have been approved by council planners and we have the full material/finishes specifications and engineering computations it is only an estimate. This figure will incorporate all the following estimated costs:

  • Labour and materials
  • Building permits/inspections/council fees
  • Engineering/soil test costs
  • Warranty insurance
  • Project Management
  • Ohs requirements
  • Possible other costs for your project.

This will give you a reasonable estimate of the costs, alterations can be made to the drawings at this stage if cost saving is necessary. The estimate will be a genuine full contract amount taking into consideration all the information we have on your particular project and requirements. Being local builders we fully understand the difficulties both of steep blocks and access to them in this area, our experience of this will give you a more accurate final quote. Amounts included for any of these issues in the estimate will be itemised, and deducted if not required.
